Sunday weekly lesson — review the process, not the loudest trade

Before changing anything for Monday, I use a short weekly scorecard:

• Compare pairs on the same capital basis. Daily Realized PnL per $1k is more useful than raw profit when position sizes differ.
• Add drawdown and fees. A pair can realize profit while tying up too much capital or paying away its edge.
• Check exit reasons and rejected orders. Results without execution context can flatter a weak setup.
• Separate repeatable behavior from one lucky move. A single outlier should not earn a strategy more capital.
• Choose one adjustment for next week, then leave the other variables alone. Otherwise you cannot tell what improved the result.

The goal is not to crown a winner every Sunday. It is to keep a comparable record of what the bot did, what capital it used, and whether the behavior matched the plan.

Which one metric will decide your single adjustment for next week: realized PnL per $1k, drawdown, fees, or exit reasons?
